The New Experience Economy
An Online Conference on Customer Experience
In the fall of 2011, as part of my work for the Boston-based online marketing agency Evolution.is (a division of ThoughtLead and 4goodmedia), I led all editorial efforts for a two-month project for ClickFox that culminated in a live 60-minute virtual conference called The New Experience Economy. During the course of the project, I solicited 20 speakers for interviews—conducted over Skype video—including a number of analysts, influential authors, and executives from IBM, Sprint, Adobe, and Best Buy. I also wrote the site copy and promotional emails, edited video segments using FinalCut, developed the story arc and script for the main video presentation, created an original model of customer experience I call “The Integral Customer Experience” (ICX), and hosted the live event, which generated over 2,000 leads. CMO.com gave the ICX model a nice featured write-up on their homepage after the very successful broadcast.
